I have been wanting to get into Saga for awhile now after hearing about it on BookTube so I decided to pick up volume one at my local comic bookstore.
Saga is a science fiction graphic novel set during a war between two planets. The story follows a few perspectives but one of the main ones and my favorite is the story of a man and a woman, each one of them from one of the planets who are at war with each other. They have fallen in love and now have a baby. Their planets basically see them as traitors and send bounty hunter types after them to kill the baby Hope and lots of action and drama ensues.
I heard that this story was basically like a Romeo and Juliet in space type story and I definitely do get that vibe. All I know is that I got super into the story and the beautiful artwork. There’s a lot of action, romance and intrigue. It is definitely for a mature audience as it can be a little graphic in content. It’s a gorgeous story so far and I have only read volume one. I cannot wait to continue the story and I am kicking myself for not buying all of the available volumes because I am dying to read them. Ahhh! Highly recommend, five stars!!
